NorCal Update: Join Us Sunday @ Crest Theater :: Comedy for A Cause

You're invited to Join Walktopia and friends Sunday at the Crest Theater to enjoy a private screening of the comedy film Open Season with Ashton Kutcher and Martin Lawrence. Bring yourself or bring the whole family--this movie's rated PG. Also featured: a silent auction and live jazz!

The benefit, called Lights, Camera, Cure, helps the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Diabetes Association. Advocate, volunteer and benefit organizer Deborah Greenwood says she created the event because November is Diabetes Awareness Month and a good time to raise awareness and funds for children with diabetes. Kids who have diabetes will be part of the education focus at the event, too. Greenwood and devoted supporters created a website to share this year's Lights, Camera, Cure details and ticket purchase info.

We found out about this 'comedy for a cause' from Tami MacAller, a senior health promotion specialist with California Diabetes Program. Thanks, Tami.

See you there!
