County residents can subscribe and receive each issue by mail, for FREE.

Weekday Wanderer Renee...Leads with a series of five volkswalks throughout October. This week's goodies = Wed. 10/18 at Arden Park and Fri. 10/20 at CalState. According to Renee--a member of the Sacramento Walking Sticks and a leader of the advocacy organization WalkSacramento. these walks are okay for dogs with cleanup. She says her own canine buddy, Gus, will be co-hosting as often as possible. By the way, according to the club site, it's National Volkssport Month--the fancy patch they feature looks like another great reason to learn about, try, or return to volkssport.

Nearly-An-MBA Earl...Attends South Sacramento Rotary Club (Rotary is a global network of community volunteers) at Casa Gardens Restaurant and Meeting Center—a unique mashup of cuisine, voluntarism and philanthropy. Restaurant profits and gratuities benefit the Sacramento Children’s Home.
