Free Music To Walk By

Two years ago I spent hours combing Amazon.com’s free music download site and snagged about 75 great tunes. Now, the site seems to be pared down to five or so featured downloads and the huge, searchable database of music has vanished.

It used to be a hodge-podge of mostly-unknown works but, like shopping at the Goodwill, you could find great stuff in the mix. Just when you’d think, “there’s nothing of value here,” out would pop Alison Krauss’s ‘The Lucky One’ -or- Bob Marley’s ‘Destiny’ (a rare ska piece) -or- Judy Garland’s ‘Meet Me In St. Louis’. Just for kicks, you may want to walk on over to Amazon and see if you want anything they’ve got!
