Shifting gears for a moment but still speaking of patriotism, Cliff Siler is also manager of the National Anthem Project (see above post...Uncle Sam: Walking Larger-Than-Life).
Besides enjoying the Top 5 National Anthem Moments in Sports you may like to know how this charity (Honorary Chair is Laura Bush, Musical Ambassadors are the Oak Ridge Boys and it boasts supporters including the Jeep, National PTA, the History Channel, Gibson Musical Instruments and the American Legion) travels the country to educate people about the Star Spangled Banner and raise funds for music education in public schools.
Road show appearances feature an instrument petting zoo, Gibson guitar display and a chance for singers of all ages to enter the National Anthem Singing Contest. Winners of the content get to choose a local school music program to receive a $1,000 donation.
