Thanks, Mike, and Everyone. Some Post-Interview Random Thoughts

It all begins with curiosity.

As an outsider, you want to get the story. The next step is understanding the inside story. After that it’s finding what’s behind the scenes and uncovering the backstory. Finally, you’re consumed with a quest for the untold story.

After our interview with Mike Testa we realized that we’re obviously at "Point A" right now…getting the story. We’re happy to be there because it introduces us to so many amazing people and teaches us so much. The process of getting the story expands our worldview.

How is it (reading these interviews) for you?

Here's an example of the learning curve. The first installment of the Mike Testa interview is filled with equations we never took the time to ponder like these: [Education + Civic Pride] = Hotel Stays, [Out of Town Visitors + Hotel Stays] = Tax Revenue, and [Tax Revenues = Local Quality of Life].

For those of you who already knew this kind of important stuff (because you took Sociology 101, actually passed Intro to Econ or advanced to the head of the Marketing class) we’d like to know why you don’t chat about it more often! Fortunately, for smart, silent types and the rest of us, the individuals we interview share basic insights and not-so-basic information.

What really enriches us is their leadership. In answering our questions and telling their story, they share examples that can help advance 'walk culture' and the walking community. WalkIcons live, work and think in ways that demonstrate creation, growth and sustainability. Let's all listen up and take good notes...

Thank you!
