Three walk-savvy tips from Dustin:
One: "My prescription for a great walk experience includes an initial visit to your podiatrist to take care of problem areas before you begin. This is especially important if you walk, for any reason, on a regular basis."
Two: "Remember to change your socks after walking. Never wear the same pair of socks more than once. Attention to this detail helps prevent bacteria problems."
Three: "One way to maintain foot and toe health is with a regular pedicure from a licensed, professional. A pedicure can include a beneficial foot massage, too. For most people "regular" means a visit every 5 weeks. In between pedicures, try a do-it-yourself nightly, 15-minute foot soak. You'll be surprised at the difference regular pedicures and foot soaks will make in how you feel."
