About Sierra Racewalkers

In a recent interview with elite racewalker Joe Berendt, we learned about the Sacramento-based racewalking club, Sierra Racewalkers. Joe is the current President of the club, soon to welcome new leadership, Helen Storrs. Here's news and notes on ways to connect with racewalking and their group.

"One of our members, Karen Stoyanowski, is offering a Learning Exchange course about racewalking in January. That would be a great place to find out more and begin to get involved in racewalking. Also, check the Sierra Racewalkers Club website for our workout schedule.

Newcomers should be sure to call or email one of the contacts listed on the homepage. Our calendar consists of many training events and you may miss our members if we don’t know you’re going to be there. If you’re a beginner and need some introduction or other specific help, we’ll make sure that you connect with a member who’ll work with you."
