PROFESSIONAL PROFILE - Dr. Peters is Head of the Nutrition Science Institute within the Food and Beverage Technology Division at the Procter & Gamble Company. At Procter & Gamble and in a former teaching post at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, he has conducted and managed research in key areas of human health including nutrition, obesity, diabetes, vitamins and minerals, and metabolism.

MORE ABOUT DR. PETERS - Outside of Procter & Gamble, Dr. Peters is involved in a number of public health initiatives aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors. He is CEO of the America on the Move Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Peters served on the National Academies of Science Institute of Medicine committee on the prevention of childhood obesity.

Dr. Peters received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry from the University of California at Davis and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, respectively. He has published more than 100 research papers, reviews, chapters and books.
